The Herd
With 35+ horses in the herd we match each horse to the client and ensure your riding portion of the trip will be comfortable.
Our horses are trained with a Natural Horsemanship approach and each horse has had extensive time on the trails. We pack each horse with “the horse” in mind, we want each load to be balanced and secure so the horse has the least amount of resistance and appropriate weight.
The Troublesome Basin consists of 80,000 acres of meadows, river drainages and peaks above timberline. The elevation ranges from 7,500 to 12,300 feet.
Ethical, authentic and family operated.
Our staff is made up of experienced horsemen, hunting guides, fisherman, and survivalists. The guiding staff is all first aid certified and several are certified Wilderness First Responders (Woofers). Our senior staff members have been working our camps and hunting area for decades.
