Our permit is in Unit 18, specifically within the Troublesome Basin, located in Grand County Colorado.
We provide our clients with coordinates to our trailhead to be plugged in prior to loosing reception.
These coordinates will be in your contract as well as sent out in reminder emails leading into your trip.

It is frequent we have first time/beginner riders book our hunting services. We just ensure that you inform us of that and we can assign you with an appropriate horse and guide you in the process with the necessary instruction.

Cancellation Policy
- Deposit: The 50% deposit collected at the time of booking is non-refundable. In the event you have to cancel with us, the deposit will not be refunded.
- Final Payment: If you cancel your hunt after your final payment has been made, your entire trip cost is non-refundable. This policy applies regardless of the reason for cancellation, including personal circumstances or unforeseen events.
- No-Show Policy: Failure to arrive on the date and time of the hunt listed in your booking confirmation without prior communication with us will be treated as a no-show, and no refund of any kind will be provided.
- Rescheduling: We do not allow for hunts to be rescheduled. Your deposit and final payment only apply to the originally booked hunt dates.
If you have booked a first season rifle hunt and you are not awarded a tag, we will allow you to roll your trip over to the next year. In this situation, only one roll-over will be allowed. If you do roll your trip over in the event you are not awarded a tag, you will be responsible for additional fees in the case that we increase trip rates.
- Booking Insurance/Protection: We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance or booking protection that covers cancellations due to medical issues, emergencies, or other unforeseen circumstances that might prevent participation in your hunt. We offer travel insurance through Redpoint Travel Insurance and booking protection through Peek Protect by Spot.

Our booking platform, Peek Pro, provides the option to protect your experience through Peek Protect Coverage provided by Spot (https://www.peekpro.com/peek-protect/terms). This coverage is ONLY available if you pay for your booking in full on our booking website and cannot be added after your booking has already been confirmed.
If you have to cancel your booking, you must initiate through Spot at least 24 hours before the start of your booking, Spot will refund the protected amount listed in your confirmation email.
Peek Protect starts at 12:01 AM UTC on the day after you purchase your booking and lasts until 24 hours before your booking starts.

It’s often that clients will correctly site their gun in before travel and encounter issues with their guns not zeroing properly.
As we do allow adjustments to be made in camp for clients that encounter this issue. We highly recommend clients arriving into the state sooner to site their guns in at the nearest gun range at Byers Canon Shooting Range.
