Troublesome Basin Hunting Drop Camps

What To Expect
At the trailhead, the staff assigns you a tacked up horse, with saddlebags and a rifle scabbard. We will take all your gear into our preset camps. After the staff delivers your group to your camp, they will take all the horses back to the trailhead. We supply a packhorse per person, additional fee for extra pack horses. The camp includes a large sleep/cook tent, kitchen, cooking and eating utensils, 2 burner cook stove, wood-burner, matches and lighter fluid, appropriate indoor and outdoor tools, lanterns and cots with mattresses, and 5 gallon water containers to fill up at the nearby spring. You are responsible for doing your own chores, and maintaining camp.

The price also includes packing out one animal per client, to the trailhead. Minimum of four clients. Think of these as a DIY hunt with a bit of gear support and a lift into camp. Essentially your group is responsible for yourselves and your experience. This hunt consists of a remote pack-in via horse and then all travel will be by foot. This is a hunt for the individual in good shape with a taste for adventure and willing to hunt hard. We will have access to several wall tent camps throughout the area, but hunters will also use “spike” backpack camps.
